The Wet Tropics Management Authority has postponed the 2017 Cassowary Awards.
The Awards were originally scheduled for Saturday 25 November, which was since confirmed as an important date for all Queenslanders—the State elections.
Following advice under the Queensland Government Caretaker Guidelines, the Awards will be rescheduled to a date in early 2018.
The Authority thanks all sponsors and nominees for their support and understanding, and looks forward to recognising the community’s outstanding contributions to conservation and preservation of the Wet Tropics at the rescheduled event.
