You can have your artworks exhibited in the Cairns Regional gallery. Classes or individuals are encouraged to:
• draw or paint an A3 sized poster
• create a collage, mural or wall hanging.

Torrid Zones - World Heritage Art Exhibtion

Torrid Zones Wet Tropics Art Exhibition

The Torrid Zones exhibition will be held at the Cairns Regional Gallery from 12 September to the 26 October 2008 to clebrate 20 years of Wolrd Heritage.

The exhibition will display the gallery's collection of art relating to the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Some of the exhibition will be on public display for the first time.


Blak Roots art exhibition

Blak Roots Art Exhibition

The Blak Roots exhibition will be held at kickArts Contemporary Arts from 28 November 2008 until February 2009 to celebrate 20 years of World Heritage.

The exhibition will showcase 30 Indigenous artists from Townsville to the Torres Strait Islands. The art will focus on Indigenous stories and culture and their traditional connections to the Wet Tropics region.
