Strategies

The Authority has developed a range of strategic plans to guide its role in managing the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area and, in particular, to promote its role in conservation and tourism management. These strategies are all discussed in greater detail in the Managing the World Heritage Area section under policies and strategies (follow the links provided below).

The Wet Tropics Conservation Strategy 2004 outlines actions to achieve the conservation, rehabilitation and transmission to future generations of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.

Tourism Strategies

TheNature Based Tourism Strategy (2000) provides the basis for tourism management in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.
