A host of new and exciting roles have emerged within Wet Tropics Management Authority's Yellow Crazy Ants Eradication Program (YCAEP).

 

The Authority has advertised six new positions to join the Portsmith-based team with applications set to close this month.

The Monitoring Field Supervisor (OO4) leads and supervises a small team that performs on-ground ecological surveys and monitoring tasks related to yellow crazy ant management.

Operations Field Officers (OO3) work in teams of four (including the supervisor) and report to a OO4 field supervisor. The field officers are responsible for surveillance, monitoring and treatment of yellow crazy ants as directed by senior staff and in accordance with operating procedures.

The Logistics Coordinator (OO4) will oversee the organisation, storage and allocation of all field equipment and pesticides, purchasing needs and logistical requirements of the field teams, including vehicle fleet management, on ground Work Health Safety requirements and Personal Protective Equipment management.
