Write a short story … that illustrates the different ways Rainforest Aboriginal people:
• thought about the rainforest
• lived in the rainforest
• relied on the rainforest.

• Does the rainforest feature in their STORIES and MYTHS?
• What does the phrase CARING FOR COUNTRY mean?

Living in the rainforest
• Did Rainforest Aboriginal People LIVE in the rainforest?
• Was the rainforest used for MEETINGS or GATHERINGS?
• Were there BOUNDARIES in the rainforest that separated different clan groups?

Relying on the rainforest
• How did Rainforest Aboriginal People use the Wet Tropics for FOOD and SHELTER?
• Did the rainforest support any of their other NEEDS?
• How was the Wet Tropics ALTERED by the presence of Rainforest Aboriginal people?
