Winners of the Reef & Rainforest: Keep it Wild poster competition 2010
Over 350 entries were received for the 2010 Reef and Rainforest: keep it wild poster competition. Of these creative and inspired entries, twelve exceptional posters were chosen to hang in the Cairns Regional Gallery, education room as part of the Festival of Cairns.
Winners
The winners received a class trip on Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and Big Cat Green Island Reef Cruises. All entries received a small prize.
- The Reef Group category was won by Year 4B from Mission Beach State School. Year 4Bwon a trip on Big Cat Green Island Cruises.
- The Reef individual category was won by Elle Tomita, Whitfield State School, who enjoyed a family trip on Big Cat Green Island Cruises.
- The Rainforest Group category was was awarded to Year 3P, Gordonvale State School who enjoyed class trip on Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.
- The Rainforest Individual category was was awarded to Verity Parker, Redlynch State School who enjoyed family trip on Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.

Winners of the Spott the Python colouring in competition 
WTMA would like to congratulate the four winners of the Authority’s colouring in competition, run to encourage the community to appreciate and act safely around native wildlife, inspired by the Authority’s own pet python called Spott. The competition was supported by Wildlife Habitat in port Douglas to celebrate their 21st Birthday during the Port Douglas Carnivale.
