Track Description
Lake Barrine (Kauri Pines) This very short boardwalk is a must for all visitors to gain a sense of wonder at the size of some remnant rainforest trees which escaped logging. Later, you can enjoy tea and scones at the Lake Barrine Teahouse and a boat tour on the lake. The teahouse also has displays about the formation of the crater lakes, wildlife corridors, and the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.
How To Get There
The turn off to Lake Barrine is directly off the Gillies Highway about 8 kilometres from the top of the range and 8 kilometres from Yungaburra.
