Track Description
Millstream Falls Millstream Falls National Park are the widest falls in Australia, spilling over an old basalt lava flow. Here in the rain shadow of the eastern dividing ranges, the dry open woodland vegetation offers a stark contrast to the rainforest only kilometres away. This park was the site of an army camp during World War II and many former soldiers make nostalgic visits to remember those times. From the picnic area, a 400 metre track winds down the river bank to the top of the falls and further on to a lookout to view and photograph these beautiful picturesque falls.
How To Get There
From Ravenshoe drive towards Mt Garnet on the Kennedy Highway. The sign to Millstream Falls is 3.5 kilometres on your left. An access road takes you 1 kilometre to the carpark above the falls.
