Places and Drives - The Central Coast - Josephine Falls

This pretty waterfall is fed by rains falling on Queensland's highest mountain, Bartle Frere, which looms above this popular picnic area. An 800m walking track leads from the carpark to a viewing platform at the base of the falls. Take special care near the water - flash floods have occurred here.

How to get there
Turn off the Bruce Highway 43 km (26.7 miles) south of Cairns (2km south of Miriwinni). The park entrance is a further 8km from the highway. More information is available from (07) 4067-6304.
