Places and Drives - The Southern Tropics - Jourama Falls

This is a popular camping and picnic area beside rainforest-fringed Waterview Creek. A 1.5 km/nearly 1 mile (30 min) walking track winds through open woodland and vine forest as it follows the creek to Jourama Falls. Just before the falls, a short track branches to the right and climbs to a lookout with great views of the waterfall cascading over salmon-coloured granite.

How to get there
Turn off the Bruce Highway 24km (15 miles) south of Ingham or 91 km (56.5 miles) north of Townsville. The park is 6km (3.7 miles) from the highway along an unsealed road. Phone QPWS in Jourama on (07) 4777-3112 for more information.
