Places and Drives - The Tablelands - Tully Gorge

Follow the scenic Tully Falls Road to the spectacular Tully Gorge Lookout. The falls only run in a big wet season, but the walls of raw rock and rainforest which plunge 300m (984 feet) down to the Tully River are still an awe-inspiring sight. An 800m track takes walkers to the Tully River above the falls. Warning: Do not venture onto the rocks at the top of the falls - they are slippery and dangerous.

How to get there
Tully Falls Road begins on the outskirts of Ravenshoe at the junction of the Mt Garnet Road. The Tully Gorge National Park turnoff is 24km down the road. A 1km gravel road leads to a carpark and viewing platform. The QPWS Lake Eacham office can provide more details on (07) 4095-3768.
