Places and Drives - The Tablelands - Wabunga Wayemba

Aboriginal rangers worked to build this new walking track near Ravenshoe. Wabunga Wayemba means "rainforest walking track" in the language of the traditional Aboriginal owners of the area, the Jiddabul people. The 3km (1.8 mile) track passes through rainforest to a rainforest creek. It takes about 45 minutes (return).

How to get there
The track is 10km from Ravenshoe on the Tully Falls Road. Phone DNR in Atherton on (07) 4091-1844 for info.
