Yungaburra Visitor Information Centre
The picturesque village of Yungaburra lies in the heart of the Atherton Tableland, just one hour from Cairns. Largely unchanged since 1910, wide verandahs and historical shop fronts line the tranquil streets. With 18 heritage listed buildings, Yungaburra is the largest National Trust village in Queensland.
Cafes, award winning restaurants and country pubs offer all manner of gastronomic delights. Browse through the galleries and craft shops. Drop in and say hi to the wonderful group of volunteers and pick up some information and maps on the area.

Lake Barrine Teahouse 
Located on the banks of Lake Barrine amongst vibrant tiered gardens is the teahouse. Step into the foyer and learn about the formation of the freshwater crater lakes of Barrine and Eacham. For the more adventurous, take an 80 metre stroll along the waters edge to the 1,000 year old giant Twin Kauri Pines (wheelchair accessible) and watch out for the birds flittering about the forest.
Take a 45 minute tour on Lake Barrine in an electric boat and learn about the critters of the waters edge and rainforest canopy. Be enchanted by the serene views of the Lake from the veranda while enjoying the award winning Devonshire Tea.
The Lake Barrine Rainforest Cruise and Teahouse is open from 9.00 seven days a week. Boat rides begin from 9.30am onwards and cost Adults $14, Child (5 to 15 years) $7. For further information check outthe website .
TREAT Visitor Centre

The TREAT Visitor Centre Interpretive Display is situated within the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service Nursery on McLeish Road, Lake Eacham.
The startlingly beautiful display aims to educate people about the benefits of tree planting and forest restoration, especially along creek banks. They highlight community restoration projects and discuss the science and practice of restoration, the history and activities of TREAT community group.
