Strategic Plan

The Wet Tropics Management Authority Strategic Plan sets out the Authority’s directions to 2018. It identifies our mission and goals, and the associated objectives and actions that we will implement in coming years. The plan demonstrates the benefits we intend to create for our stakeholders—the Queensland and Australian Governments, our partner agencies and the Wet Tropics community.

These include protection of heritage values, community appreciation of the World Heritage Area, active participation of Rainforest Aboriginal people and a positive working relationship with the Queensland and Australian Governments.

The Wet Tropics Management Authority Board has outlined its key priorities for 2015-18 in line with the Strategic Plan.

You can find the key priorities and how it aligns with the mission, roles, and goals of the Strategic Plan here.
