The Wet Tropics Management Authority invites proposals from postgraduate students from across Australia to support environmental, social and cultural research which will benefit Wet Tropics World Heritage Area Management, policy development and operational decision making.
Funding of up to $4,000 is available for PhD and Masters research projects, and up to $1,500 for Honours projects.
Well-conceived projects which meet the priorities outlined in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area Research Strategy 2014-18 and demonstrate scientific rigour and innovative research will be viewed favourably.
In particular the Authority is keen to fund research that contributes to our understanding of the impacts of climate change, and strategies that protect and conserve the natural and cultural integrity of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.
Applications close COB 9 February 2018
Successful applicants will be notified by 28 February 2018
