Action Plan to clean up litter and illegal dumping

The Newman Government has launched an Action Plan to clean up litter and illegal dumping throughout the State.

Minister for Environment and Heritage Protection Andrew Powell said the Action Plan was a long-term initiative by the Newman Government to reduce litter and illegal dumping.

Illegal dumping of rubbish is identified as one of the ways yellow crazy ants and other pests and weeds are moved around the Wet Tropics landscape. Your support for this important initiative will make a valuable contribution to the protection of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.
