The 80 page book contains 33 stories and numerous photos and artworks reflecting the community's love, passion and dedication to conserve the World Heritage Area. It begins with the campaign for World Heritage listing and traces the journey through to today’s tree planting activities, environmental education and tourism.
It describes why the World Heritage Area is now a uniting force in our community rather than the dividing one it was 20 years ago.
The book graphically illustrates the depth and diversity of support and appreciation for the natural and cultural values of the Wet Tropics. The stories and artwork also show the strong links between artists and our natural environment.
