Track description:

Nandroya Falls Circuit is part of a network of walks in the Palmerston section of Wooroonooran National Park. It can be walked separately or as part of a longer walk from Henrietta Creek to Tchupala Falls Trackhead and possibly on to Crawfords Lookout and the North Johnstone River. Wooroonooran National Park is an integral part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Its fertile soils and extremely wet climate have fostered some of the oldest continually surviving rainforests on earth, making this area of universal importance and value.

The 6.6 kilometre Nandroya Falls Circuit begins to the west of the Henrietta Creek camping area. You can either cross the creek or walk along the highway and across the bridge to reach the trackhead. The track has been recently upgraded and is well formed with gentle grades. The walk winds about 700 metres into the rainforest before forking to form a circuit. The left hand fork is shorter - about 1.5 kilometres and past Silver Falls to reach Nandroya Falls. The right fork is longer - about 3.5 kilometres and winds along Douglas Creek, offering scenic views of the small gorge and numerous rockpools and rapids of this fast flowing stream.

The two routes meet just below the picturesque Nandroya Falls, the perfect place to relax and swim and enjoy the Wet Tropics rainforest before the return journey. However, watch out for leeches, stinging trees and signs with misleading distances by the side of the track. Camping and picnic facilities area available at Henrietta Creek, including toilets, gas barbecues, and water.
