Rainforest Explorer

Rainforest Explorer is series of teaching materials filled with resources and activities focused on the plants and animals, landscapes and history of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. 

By browsing through Rainforest Explorer you find information and learn about World Heritage rainforests, other vegetation communities, specific plants and animals, the history of the World Heritage Area, and what different people in the community think about the this incredible landscape. Rainforest Explorer is also an excellent resource for residents of the Wet Tropics region and visitors who would like to enrich their experiences when visiting the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. 

Suitable for both teachers and students, Rainforest Explorer is comprised of a resource rich library which includes videos, fact sheets, pictures, clip art and activity sheets. 
These resources are arranged according to class level:

  • Preparatory to Year 3
  • Year 4 to Year 7
  • Year 8 to Year 9
