Wet Tropics Tour Guide Program: Field School and Workshops

Registration is now open for the Wet Tropics Tour Guides field school and workshops, and it’s not just for tour guides!

Everyone is welcome to build connections with sustainable tourism in the Wet Tropics. Join tour guides, locals, tourism businesses, Visitor Information Centre staff, land managers, Traditional Owners, researchers and government representatives for valuable information sharing and networking. 

Workshops, presentations and activities will help your knowledge and skill development, and field trips will show tour guides in action and provide fresh insights into the Wet Tropics.

Workshops (11-12 Oct)
Covering flora, fauna, landscapes; cultural landscape; and commentaries.

Date: 11-12 October 2017
Time: 9.00am-3:30pm
Venue: Daintree Discovery Centre, Cnr Cape Tribulation Rd and Tulip Oak Rd.
Cost: $65 per day, including lunch and manuals.

Field School: "Water and Rainforest" (13-14 Oct)

Date: 13-14 October 2017
Time: Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm / Saturday 9.00am - 3.00pm
Venue: Noah Creek Trails.
