Come along and help the Kuranda YCA Community Taskforce eradicate yellow crazy ants from the Russett Park site!
On Sunday 17 June (meeting 9am at 60 Cadagi Drive, Kuranda) there is a yellow crazy ant treatment field day—learn more about YCA and why they're such a huge threat to the biodiversity of our Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Volunteers are given basic training before venturing off the beaten track to distribute bait pellets throughout the infestation area. Come for the morning (9am–12 noon) or afternoon (12 noon–3pm), or stay for the day (morning tea/coffee will be provided)—no experience is necessary.
