Advisory committees

The Wet Tropics Management Authority (WTMA) has two statutory advisory committees appointed by the Board to advise on programs and research relevant to the management of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area—the Community Consultative Committee and the Scientific Advisory Committee.

A non-statutory advisory committee, the Indigenous Advisory Committee, jointly appointed by WTMA’s Board with the Board of Terrain NRM, advises on strategic and operational priorities across the Wet Tropics Biocultural Region.
